Christmas Cat Gifts UK: Cosy Ideas Under £20 and Beyond

Shopping for someone who loves cats is lovely, right up until you realise you have bought them the third cat mug in a row. If you are looking for Christmas cat gifts in the UK that feel a little bit different, this guide is for you. Every idea below comes from my tiny shop, Bakery Cats Co, where the cats are made out of bakes and treats: a cat made out of a gingerbread biscuit, a cat made out of a candy cane, a cat made out of a Christmas pudding and plenty more.

I have sorted everything by budget, starting with cat stocking fillers, then cat gifts under £20, then a few bigger, cosier treats. Every price is in pounds and links straight to the listing on Etsy, so you can check the photos, sizes and delivery dates before you buy.

Quick picks

Cat stocking fillers under £6

Printables are the budget heroes of Christmas. They are instant downloads: you buy them, download the files and print at home or at a local print shop. There is nothing to wait for in the post, which makes them brilliant last-minute cat stocking fillers.

• Christmas cat sticker sheets (£2.99). Two sheets with 24 stickers in total, each about 5.5 cm across, starring the Bakery Cats in their festive looks. Print them on A4 or US Letter sticker paper, or use the PNG files with a cutting machine. Lovely for planners, cards and lunchboxes.
• Christmas gift tags (£2.99). Twelve cat designs with To and From lines, ready to print, cut out and tie on. A small touch that makes every present under the tree look as if it came from the same cosy bakery.
• Christmas cards, 6-pack (£3.50). Six cards starring Gingerbreadcat, Candycanecat, Mincepiecat, Puddingcat, Yulelogcat and Browniecat. Each one prints on a single sheet of A4 or US Letter and folds into a card, with the inside left blank for your message.
• Printable wrapping paper (£3.50). Four patterns of bakery cats, as A4 and A3 files. Ideal for small presents, or for wrapping a tin of homemade biscuits.
• Gift tags and wrapping paper bundle (£5.50). The tags and the wrapping paper together, for anyone who likes everything to match.

A tip from me: if you want a printable to go in an actual stocking, print the sticker sheets, roll them up and tie them with a ribbon. Nobody needs to know they cost less than a coffee.

Cat gifts under £20

This is the sweet spot for Secret Santa, colleagues, teachers and the friend who has everything (except, possibly, a cat made out of a candy cane).

• Gingerbreadcat Christmas T-shirt (£19.99, free UK delivery). Gingerbreadcat is a cartoon cat made out of a gingerbread biscuit, with white icing and three sweetie buttons, printed as a cream square tile on the front. Festive without being a novelty jumper, so it gets worn all winter.
• Candycanecat Christmas T-shirt (£19.99, free UK delivery). Candycanecat is a cat made out of a red and white candy cane, with a green bow and a little gold bell. Perfect for anyone who starts singing carols in November.
• Christmas mugs (£14.99 each). Choose the Cookie-Cutter Rounds mug, with little bakery cats in round frames on berry red, or the Snowy Bakery mug, with festive cats and snowflakes. Both are 11oz with the pattern all the way round. For a mug that works well beyond December, the Picnic Gingham mug (£14.99) has bakery cats on cheerful red gingham.
• Gingerbreadcat ceramic ornament (£13.99). A ceramic decoration with Gingerbreadcat printed on both sides, so it looks right whichever way it turns on the tree. A sweet gift for a first Christmas in a new home.

Bigger, cosier cat gifts

For the people you really want to spoil, or for a gift that comes out every single winter.

• Christmas cat sweatshirts (£34.99, free UK delivery). The Gingerbreadcat sweatshirt or the Candycanecat sweatshirt, each on a classic crew-neck. Warm, soft and a much cuter alternative to the usual Christmas jumper.
• Snowy Bakery fleece blanket (from £29.99). Festive bakery cats and snowflakes on berry red, in more than one size. Made for sofa nights, Christmas films and that post-dinner nap.
• Bakery Toss cushion (£39.99). An 18″ cushion covered in bakery cats on cream. It isn't strictly Christmassy, so it can stay out all year, which is exactly what cat lovers want.

Cat gifts for cat lovers, all year round

Not everyone wants Christmas on their clothes. The original Bakery Cats are on tees too, at £19.99 with free UK delivery, and every one has a personality of its own. Browniecat is the bakery's night owl, Piecat has the widest smile in the bakery, Pancakecat is always a full stack and Pizzacat is the only savoury cat of the lot. Meet all twenty cats and pick the one that suits the person you are buying for. Matching a cat to a personality is half the fun.

How to choose the right cat gift

• Think about their evenings. Tea drinkers get a mug. People who are always cold get the sweatshirt or the blanket. Crafters and planner fans get the sticker sheets.
• Pick a character, not just a cat. Every Bakery Cat has a story. A sleepy friend might love Yulelogcat, a show-off might love Gingerbreadcat, and a quiet homebody might love Mincepiecat.
• Check the size chart. The tees and sweatshirts are unisex, so have a look at the size guide on each Etsy listing before you order.
• Order physical gifts in good time. Tees, sweatshirts, mugs, the ornament, the blanket and the cushion are all made to order, so check the estimated delivery date on each listing before you buy. Printables arrive instantly, so they are always there for last-minute shopping.
• Know the delivery costs. Tees and sweatshirts come with free UK delivery. For the mugs, ornament, blanket and cushion, Etsy shows the postage before you pay.

A little about the shop

Bakery Cats Co is a tiny UK shop. Every cat is an original character made out of a bake or a treat, and everything is made to order rather than sitting in a warehouse. If you have a question about any of the gifts above, send me a message through Etsy.

Merry Christmas, and happy gift hunting from all the cats at the bakery.
